Baseball Game Preview: Iowa Park Hawks vs. Bowie Jackrabbits

For the second straight game, Iowa Park will face off against Bowie. Iowa Park is taking a road trip to square off against Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Iowa Park's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Bowie's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Iowa Park took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Bowie get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Hawks this season.

CJ McNeill made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over six innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kane Decker was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Brayden Holster was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Iowa Park hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive matches.

Iowa Park has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. Bowie is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.
