Barrington is a perfect 9-0 against Rolling Meadows since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Fillies/Broncos will square off against the Mustangs at 4:45 p.m. Barrington's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Rolling Meadows' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Barrington had taken Wheeling down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Fillies/Broncos fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4.

Barrington got a good showing from Dylan Ignacek, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ignacek has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Jackson Roberts made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Cavaliero, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Rolling Meadows didn't have quite enough to beat Grant Community on Saturday and fell 4-3.

Rolling Meadows also got a good showing from Cam Wachtel, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.

On the hitting side, Ryan Schneider and Will Fiore stepped up to the plate in a big way. Schneider went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI, while Fiore got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Barrington's record is now 19-9-1. As for Rolling Meadows, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-12 record this season.

Barrington skirted past Rolling Meadows 4-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fillies/Broncos since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
