Recap: Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs vs. Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ravenscroft, the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 43-42 win over Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill.
Wake Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Crissman, who scored 18 points along with 3 steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Crissman has scored at least 25% of Wake Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Sallie grace Quinn, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Wake Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wake Christian Academy will face off against Trinity Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Thales Academy Rolesville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Thales Academy Rolesville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
