Soccer Recap: Pierce Comes Up Short

Pierce lost against Williams back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pierce Bears fell just short of the Williams Yellowjackets by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1016th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 232nd).

Pierce is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8. As for Williams, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Pierce wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Willows on the 30th. As for Williams, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Winters on the 28th.
