Basketball Recap: Edgewood Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Edgewood, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Mildred Eagles by a score of 52-39 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 69-55 loss the last time these two teams met.

Mildred's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brennan Moore, who posted seven points in addition to 15 rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Harper, who put up six points.

Edgewood's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Mildred, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-7.

Edgewood and Ford will compete for holiday cheer at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mildred, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Frost at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
