Pocatello faced Shelley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Thunder lost 3-0 to the Russets. The Thunder's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Pocatello was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-17.

Abby Lusk paced Pocatello's offense, picking up 17 kills. Lusk got some help from Josie Haymore and her 30 assists. Lusk was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pocatello's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Shelley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Pocatello will challenge Idaho Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shelley, they will face off against Rigby at 7:00 p.m. on the 11th.
