Preview: Beamer Titans vs. Kentlake Falcons
Beamer has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will challenge the Kentlake Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Beamer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Beamer was fully in charge, breezing past Kent-Meridian 81-37 at home. Given Beamer's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Kent-Meridian is ranked 258th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Will Tellis had a dynamite game for Beamer, scoring 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tellis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Berry, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Kentlake, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They were outmatched by Auburn at home and fell 86-31. Kentlake has not had much luck with Auburn recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Beamer's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Kentlake, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6.
Beamer took their victory against Kentlake in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 94-74. Will Beamer repeat their success, or does Kentlake have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
