Softball Recap: Phillips Comes Up Short

Phillips came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Edgar Wildcats, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Loggers were not able to get on the board.

Phillips has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Edgar, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-10 record.

Coming up, Phillips will challenge Mellen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edgar, they have already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Rib Lake on the 18th.
