Volleyball Recap: Maine West Comes Up Short at Home Against Conant

Maine West unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Conant Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Maine West started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-14, 25-18.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maine West will venture away from home to take on Prospect at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Conant, they will head out to square off against Streamwood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
