California Academy of Math & Science dropped down to 4-3 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Vistamar Vikings and fell 67-40. Coyotes fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Vikings since Monday.

As for Vistamar, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win they have posted against California Academy of Math & Science since January 28, 2020.

Vistamar found their leader in freshman Marquis Ramirez, who went 7-for-13 en route to 19 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Aden Finzel, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 12 points.

California Academy of Math & Science has already played their next game, a 79-23 defeat against Rolling Hills Prep on the 10th. As for Vistamar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-45 victory against New Roads on the 9th.
