Recap: Plum Mustangs vs. Fox Chapel Foxes
The Plum Mustangs lost against the Fox Chapel Foxes back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. 2024 welcomed Plum with a 56-35 loss courtesy of Fox Chapel. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Plum has scored all season.
Fox Chapel's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asher White, who scored 11 points along with three steals. The match was White's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Rehak, who scored ten points along with five assists.
Plum's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6. As for Fox Chapel, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-6.
Plum will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodland Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fox Chapel, they will head out on the road to face off against Armstrong at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Armstrong is ranked 147th, while Fox Chapel is ranked 172nd).
