Softball Recap: Uxbridge Gets the Win

Uxbridge's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Northbridge Rams. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Katherine Pratt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bailey Demarco, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Lola Grube was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Uxbridge picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 7-14. As for Northbridge, they moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Uxbridge will look to defend their home field on Friday against Doherty Memorial at 4:00 p.m. Northbridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
