Volleyball Game Preview: Evans Trojans vs. Wekiva Mustangs

Evans hasn't had much luck against Wekiva recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Trojans will square off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Evans is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 18th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to University.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Wekiva came up short against Lake Buena Vista on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wekiva took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 25-22.

Wekiva's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Evans, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Evans might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Wekiva in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
