Baseball Recap: Greenhills' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Greenhills strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They beat the Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-1. Considering the Gryphons have won three matchups by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Charlie Rich looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, Greenhills got a big performance out of Fran Love, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Love has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Kade Mason was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Greenhills hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Our Lady of the Lakes struck out 14 times.

Greenhills pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenhills will head out to challenge Whitmore Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Cabrini at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
