Baseball Game Preview: Columbia Cougars vs. Livingston Lancers

Columbia is 1-8-1 against Livingston since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Columbia has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

St. Peter's Prep hit Columbia with a four-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars and the Marauders finished up their match with a 4-4 draw.

Meanwhile, Livingston waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Knights.

With that draw, Columbia's record moves to 9-7-1. As for Livingston, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

Columbia suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to Livingston in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
