Soccer Game Preview: Marion vs. Blackford

The Marion Giants will face off against the Blackford Bruins at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marion will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Marion's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Tri-Central with a sharp 7-0 victory. Marion might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Tri-Central with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jayme Hardwick (5), Raven Sollars, and Areanna Miller.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Blackford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past Eastern 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Blackford were the better team in the second half.

The win got Blackford back to even at 7-7. As for Marion, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5-1.
