Football Game Preview: Winslow Township Eagles vs. Millville Thunderbolts

The Winslow Township Eagles will face off against the Millville Thunderbolts at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Winslow Township will be strutting in after a victory while Millville will be coming in after a defeat.

Winslow Township is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Jersey's top teams: St. Augustine Prep, who was ranked eighth at the time (Winslow Township was ranked fifth). The Eagles walked away with a 19-6 win over the Hermits last Friday.

Nakeem Powell produced another solid effort rushing for 109 yards and one TD, while also picking up 38 receiving yards.

Another reason for the win was Winslow Township's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kameriin Walters, Robert Carstarphen, and Camaj Matthews, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Millville came up short against Washington Township last Friday and fell 21-10.

Millville's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Winslow Township, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Winslow Township didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Millville when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 13-7 win.
