Central Valley hadn't done well against University recently (they were 0-8-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Titans. Considering the Bears have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Central Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for University, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-6.

Looking ahead, Central Valley will welcome Mead at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for University, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cheney at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Blackhawks will have lost eight straight heading into Friday's match.
