Basketball Recap: Titus Lanier Key Part of a Team Effort in Bears Win

There's no place like home for Keith, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats with a 58-54 win on Monday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bears' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Wildcats are ranked 93rd).

Keith's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Titus Lanier led the charge by putting up 26 points and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lanier has scored at least a third of Keith's points. Eric Hall was another key player, posting 11 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Keith's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Tuscaloosa County, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-6.

Keith will be taking part in a tournament against Faith Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keith is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season. As for Tuscaloosa County, they will take on Marion in a tournament on Thursday.
