Yulee hasn't had much luck against Fernandina Beach recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hornets will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Yulee is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They were outmatched by Oakleaf and fell 68-30. The Hornets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-13.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Rheyna Hilton, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 54% in the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Khloe Clark, who posted seven points along with 12 boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Fernandina Beach played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 62-26 loss at the hands of Sandalwood. The Pirates were down 55-18 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
