Volleyball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Farmington

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Santa Fe, Farmington was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Gallup Bengals with a sharp 3-0 victory. While the Scorpions didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Farmington never let Gallup on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-16, 25-21.

Emerson Bourland paced Farmington's offense, picking up ten kills. Bourland got some help from Caris Dale and her 33 assists. Reese Robbins controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Farmington pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Gallup, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Farmington and Miyamura will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gallup, they will be taking part in a tournament against Navajo Prep at 1:45 p.m. on Friday.
