It was a good run, but the Belleville Mennonite Thunder unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were dealt a 73-42 defeat at the hands of Blacklick Valley. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Belleville Mennonite has suffered since December 5, 2023.
It was another big night for Gino DiPaolo, who scored 14 points along with three steals for Blacklick Valley. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew McEvoy, who scored six points.
Belleville Mennonite's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Blacklick Valley, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belleville Mennonite will take on Grace Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blacklick Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Salisbury Elk Lick at 6:00 p.m. Salisbury Elk Lick is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
