Soccer Recap: Leeds Comes Up Short

Leeds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pelham Panthers. The Greenwave were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Leeds' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pelham, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Leeds will be playing at home against Moody at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pelham, they will head out to take on Mountain Brook at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain Brook is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.8 goals per game this season.
