Football Recap: Chillicothe Comes Up Short

Chillicothe lost against Kirksville back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hornets took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Despite the loss, Chillicothe still got an impressive performance from Oliver Perry, who picked up 59 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 178 yards and one TD.

Chillicothe's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kirksville, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Chillicothe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 31-7 defeat against Maryville on the 12th. As for Kirksville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-0 loss against Savannah on the 12th.
