Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Global Studies Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ridgeview Global Studies Academy can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Lakeland Christian Vikings and fell 49-9. The loss continues a trend for the Explorers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost nine in a row.

Lakeland Christian found their leader in sophomore Kiya Boyce, who posted eight points along with six rebounds and five steals. Boyce is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Collette Zavada, who scored 11 points.

Ridgeview Global Studies Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Lakeland Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
