Basketball Recap: Southwind Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Southwind extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Ronald Towns. The Jaguars enjoyed a cozy 72-54 victory over the Lift for Life Academy Hawks on Saturday thanks in part to Towns, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 29 points. Towns is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Jhordan Chaffin, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 14 points and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 43.5% three-point shooting accuracy.

Southwind's win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Southwind will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Kirby at 7:30 p.m. As for Lift for Life Academy, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Cahokia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
