Basketball Recap: Wesson Falls to Franklin County in First Game of Season

Wesson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Franklin County Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 58-28. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Wesson lost, don't look at Brendon Duguid. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-10 on his way to 20 points and seven rebounds.

Looking ahead, Wesson will take on West Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on the 13th. As for Franklin County, they have already played their next contest, a 74-51 defeat against Lawrence County on the 6th.
