Soccer Game Preview: Daphne vs. Spanish Fort

The Daphne Trojans will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Spanish Fort Toros at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Daphne is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They fell just short of Faith Academy by a score of 1-0 two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Spanish Fort entered their tilt with St. Luke's Episcopal on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 2-0 shutout. The Toros' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Jack Finlay and Jace Buchholz scored both of Spanish Fort's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Daphne beat Spanish Fort 3-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Daphne repeat their success, or does Spanish Fort have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
