Softball Recap: Edgewood Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Edgewood walked away with it. They never let the Arroyo Valley Hawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Edgewood pushed their record up to 5-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Arroyo Valley, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-9-2.

Coming up, Edgewood will square off against Sacred Heart of Jesus at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Arroyo Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
