Clovis West waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Edison Tigers 31-12. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Golden Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Tigers are ranked 302nd).

Clovis West found their leader in sophomore Major Lee, who rushed for 56 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries.

Clovis West's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Edison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Clovis West will take on Turlock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Edison, they will be playing at home against Shafter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
