Softball Recap: Laconia Comes Up Short

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Laconia was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They came up short against the Merrimack Valley Pride, falling 13-1. The Sachems were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pride apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Laconia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Duncan, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. Duncan is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Laconia dropped their record down to 6-12-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Merrimack Valley, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.

Coming up, Laconia will square off against Hanover at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Merrimack Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Lebanon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Raiders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
