Basketball Game Preview: Argyle Eagles vs. Colleyville Heritage Panthers

The Argyle Eagles will face off against the Colleyville Heritage Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Argyle earned a 50-40 win over Grapevine. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Mustangs are ranked 444th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Colleyville Heritage strolled past Grapevine with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 50-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Argyle better keep an eye on Cash Gardner. He was instrumental in Colleyville Heritage's win, going 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points. Bodey Weaver was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Argyle pushed their record up to 12-15 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for Colleyville Heritage, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Argyle didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Colleyville Heritage in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 45-39 win.
