Baseball Recap: Central Linn Wins Going Away Against East Linn Christian Academy

Central Linn not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12, 2024 (when they won 10-0). They put the hurt on the East Linn Christian Academy Eagles with a sharp 8-1 win. This was a revenge game for the Cobras: when they faced off against the Eagles on Tuesday, they had to take a 8-7 defeat.

Beau Snyder tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has become a key player for Central Linn: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 1-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Trevon Nofziger was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Central Linn is 2-1 when Nofziger posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-7 otherwise. Daine Offutt also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Central Linn moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for East Linn Christian Academy, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

Central Linn will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
