Softball Recap: Lordstown Red Devils vs. McKinley Red Dragons
Lordstown had lost 17 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-14 to make it 18. They came up short against the McKinley Red Dragons, falling 22-12. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.
As for McKinley, they moved to 3-19 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
