Basketball Recap: Pike Road Wins Going Away Against Marbury

Pike Road won the last time they faced Marbury and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pike Road Patriots enjoyed a cozy 75-56 win over the Marbury Bulldogs.

Marbury lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jamar Brown, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Driver, who had 14 points.

Pike Road has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Marbury, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-10.

Pike Road wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-52 defeat against Charles Henderson on the 18th. As for Marbury, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-67 loss against Chilton County on the 17th.
