Soccer Game Preview: Wellesley vs. Weymouth

The Wellesley Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Weymouth Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wellesley's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Wellesley and Needham finished up their match with a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Weymouth faced Framingham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Flyers, falling 6-1. Weymouth were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Weymouth's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-2-1. Wellesley's draw makes their record 3-3-3 this season.

Wellesley couldn't quite get it done against Weymouth in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
