Volleyball Recap: Texas Lions Academy Comes Up Short

If Texas Lions Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Tribe W on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell 2-0 to Non Varsity Opponent on Friday. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Non Varsity Opponent earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15.

Lily De Marines paced Texas Lions Academy's offense, picking up five kills. De Marines got some help from Audrey Mangawang and her 12 assists. Evelynne Culver controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Texas Lions Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16-4.

Texas Lions Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Stephen's Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on October 6. Non Varsity Opponent has already played their next matchup (against Woodbridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
