Football Game Preview: Astoria/VIT Rebels vs. Havana Ducks + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Colby Martin and Cayden Green are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Astoria/VIT Rebels will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Havana Ducks at 7:00 p.m. Astoria/VIT has given up an average of 33.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Astoria/VIT was beaten by Monmouth United 54-18. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Astoria/VIT got top-tier performance from Riley Foglesong, who rushed for 170 yards and one TD while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Foglesong is now averaging an impressive 108 rushing yards per game. Jonah Miller was in the mix as well, providing Astoria/VIT with two scores.

Meanwhile, Havana lost a heartbreaker to Abingdon/Avon when they met back in October of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The Ducks fell 31-26 to the Tornadoes. The Ducks haven't had much luck with the Tornadoes recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Astoria/VIT's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Havana, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Things could have been worse for Astoria/VIT, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 20-6 loss to Havana when the teams last played back in September of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Green, who rushed for 135 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
