Starkville hadn't done well against Germantown recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. At the plate, Will Moody was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since March 1st. Another player making a difference was Torian Knox, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The win snapped Starkville's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-8 record. As for Germantown, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
