Baseball Recap: Archbishop McNicholas Takes a Loss

Archbishop McNicholas managed to slip by Turpin the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rockets lost 8-0 to the Spartans on Saturday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Rockets were not able to get on the board.

Archbishop McNicholas saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Christin, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Christin has hit this season.

Archbishop McNicholas moved to 12-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Turpin, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

Coming up, Archbishop McNicholas will challenge Archbishop Alter at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Turpin, they will face off against West Clermont at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
