            Pocono Mountain West hasn't had much luck against Pocono Mountain East recently, but that could start to change  on Monday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field  against the Cardinals  at 4:00  p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Having struggled with four  defeats in a row, Pocono Mountain West  turned things around against Louis E. Dieruff  on Friday. They walked away with  a   10-5  win over the Huskies.
 Kaylee Masotti was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  5.2 innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   eight  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  triple. That  triple was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Cayleigh Keller was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs and one  stolen base.  Sam Rider was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double.
 Meanwhile, Pocono Mountain East narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past Allentown Central Catholic  10-9. The  win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.
 Pocono Mountain East's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Pocono Mountain West, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
