The Fremont Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Angola Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fremont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Fremont after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Westview by a score of 7-6.

Drew Snyder was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Angola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-2 to Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran. Hornets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cadets since on Monday.

Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Angola, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Fremont took their win against Angola when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
