Softball Recap: Reno Comes Up Short

Reno fell victim to Douglas and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 18-0. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Reno's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14-1. As for Douglas, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Reno will be playing in front of their home fans against Galena at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Reno is facing Galena at the right time seeing as Galena is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Douglas, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-1 win against Dayton on the 28th.
