Basketball Recap: St. Augustine Prep Comes Up Short

St. Augustine Prep was the 47-40 winner over Atlantic City when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Hermits took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Friday.

It was another big night for Dontae Thompson, who posted 30 points along with four steals and three blocks for Atlantic City. That makes it four consecutive games in which Thompson has scored at least a third of the Vikings' points. Another player making a difference was Nai Alston, who put up ten points and five rebounds.

St. Augustine Prep's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Atlantic City, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

St. Augustine Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-65 defeat against Lower Cape May on the 9th. As for Atlantic City, they have also already played their next game, a 78-73 win against Pleasantville on the 8th.
