Softball Game Preview: Oregon Hawks vs. Polo Marcos

Oregon is a perfect 3-0 against Polo since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Hawks will welcome the Marcos. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Oregon is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Genoa-Kingston just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cogs.

Meanwhile, Polo lost 7-1 to East Dubuque on Thursday. The Marcos have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Polo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Oregon, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

Everything went Oregon's way against Polo in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Oregon made off with a 13-1 win. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Marcos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
