Softball Recap: Federal Way Wins Going Away Against Jefferson

Federal Way made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Jefferson, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles blew past the Raiders 19-12 on Tuesday. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Sosephina Sailiai was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-6. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Meeghan Meagher was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Sailiai wasn't the only one making solid contact: Federal Way kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

With the win, Federal Way broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. As for Jefferson, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Federal Way will welcome Auburn Mountainview at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests. As for Jefferson, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Decatur at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
