Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Richmond). They secured a 65-60 W over the Purdue Polytechnic Techies on Friday.

Despite the loss, Purdue Polytechnic saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Te'Asia Briscoe dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Briscoe is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Camile Starks was another key player, going 7 for 11 on her way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Richmond's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Purdue Polytechnic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Richmond didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-45 defeat against Alexandria-Monroe on the 28th. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-45 win against Marion on the 28th.
