Longwood strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Walt Whitman Wildcats. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Longwood pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Walt Whitman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
