Basketball Game Preview: O'Gorman Knights vs. Lincoln Patriots

O'Gorman has won six straight games at home, while Lincoln has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The O'Gorman Knights will welcome the Lincoln Patriots at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Saturday, O'Gorman strolled past Rapid City Central with points to spare, taking the game 78-59. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Cobblers are ranked 75th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln). They took down Brookings 81-64 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won nine in a row.

O'Gorman has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points over those games. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.
