Basketball Recap: Brookings Comes Up Short

Brookings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 61-39 to the Harrisburg Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Tigers are ranked 29th).

Brookings' loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Harrisburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Brookings is set to take on their familiar foe Rapid City Central on Friday. Meanwhile, Harrisburg will face off against rival Pierre T.F. Riggs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
